Brenda Krohn

Brenda M. Krohn, age 53, of Faribault, MN, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 from a sudden illness.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be held at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brenda Marie was born on July 25, 1963 in Faribault to Clayton and Patricia (Zimmerman) LaCroix. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1982. Brenda was united in marriage to Dean Krohn on May 20, 1986. Brenda provided services and care for the developmentally disabled through various employment for many years. She dedicated her life to helping others. Brenda enjoyed camping, reading, crafts, her flower garden, and caring for her children. She also sacrificed greatly as a military spouse.

She is survived by her husband, Dean; children, Matthew and Katherine, both of Faribault, and Dale of Aurora, CO (U.S. Navy); father, Clayton LaCroix of Faribault; brother, Calvin LaCroix (Cindy Brown) of Faribault; sisters, Denise McNamara of Faribault, Karen (John) Komp of Colorado, and Gwen of Minneapolis; mothers-in-law, Bobby Allen of Faribault and Robbie Krohn of Burnsville; brothers-in-law, Vince Krohn of Philippines, Randy (Shannon) Krohn of Owatonna, Lora Vagts of Minneapolis, and Becky Beyer of Mankato; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia LaCroix; her grandparents, Walter and Gladys LaCroix, and Wallace and Rachel Zimmerman; and father-in-law, Henry Krohn.
