John Reuvers

December 12, 1944 — March 8, 2016

John A. Reuvers, age 71, of Russell Springs, KY, and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2016, at his home.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating.

Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

John Anthony was born on December 12, 1944, in Faribault to Anthony and Harriet (Maas) Reuvers. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1962. He attended Mankato State University, and then entered the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1962 - 1964. He was stationed mostly in Two Harbors, MN, and for three months in the Philippines. He worked as a police officer for the City of Faribault, and also was a realtor. John lived in Faribault, later moved to Nevis, MN, and most recently in Russell Springs, KY. He loved his dogs, fishing, and coaching and watching wrestling.

He is survived by five children, Trudy (Jay) Kindseth of Kenyon, MN, Brett (Amy) Reuvers of Faribault, Johna Reuvers (fiancé, Adam Rody) of Richfield, MN, Andrew Reuvers of Maple Grove, MN, and Whitney (Shawn) Aune of Coon Rapids, MN; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Jerry (Marge) Reuvers of Faribault, Janet Miller (Mike Holmgren) of Faribault, Joyce (Bruce) Crandall of Monticello, Betty (Gene) Berge of Faribault, Dan (Barb) Reuvers of Morristown, Joan (George) Delaske of Faribault, Jane (Steve) Drevlow of Faribault, Roxie (Ron) Mitchell of Faribault, Steven Reuvers of Faribault, Jackie (Peter) Gretz of Faribault, and Therese "Tess" (Gary) Miller of LeSueur; significant other of 17 years, Barb Sergot of Russell Springs, KY; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister; and brother-in-law, Tom Miller.
