Mylo Hagberg

Col. Mylo M. Hagberg, Ret. (DVM), age 85, of Faribault, MN, passed away suddenly at the District One Hospital in Faribault.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, with Rev. Joy Bussert, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault, with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the choice of the donor in memory of Mylo.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Mylo Maurice was born on October 10, 1930 in Kenyon, MN to Vendel and Sylvia (Benson) Hagberg. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1948. Following high school, Mylo began his 30+ year military career in 1948, retiring from the U.S. Army in 1986. On November 10, 1951, he was united in marriage to Lucille Johnson in East Chain, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Hagberg of Faribault; son, Robert (Carol) Hagberg of Farmington, MN; daughter, Roxanne (Mike) Laskey of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Chris (Joy) Hagberg, Kelly Hagberg, Brandon Laskey, and Sean Laskey; sister, Shirley (William) Lundberg of Poplar, WI; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Harlan Hagberg.
