Richard Jeno

Richard E. "Dick" Jeno, age 80 of Lonsdale, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato following a sudden illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault with Fr. Kevin Kenney, Pastor officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.

The family prefers that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice in memory of Dick.

Dick Jeno was born in Wells Township, Rice County, Minnesota on May 29, 1936 to Fredrick and Addis Odette Jeno. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault, Minnesota. Richard was united in marriage on January 10, 1957 to Barbara Enbom. They purchased a dairy farm in Forest Township, Rice County. They were later divorced. Richard married Betty Flynn on April 8, 1989. Richard was employed at the Malt-O-Meal Company in Northfield for many years, retiring due to health reasons in 1994.

Richard and Barbara had 11 children. Richard is survived by sons Tom and Cathy Jeno of Lonsdale, Todd of Doha, Qatar, James (Louie) and special friend Cricket and Mark and Emily of Faribault, daughters Lynn and Dan Hall and Cathy of Faribault, Julie and Nathan Tupa of Dundas, their mother, Barbara Jeno of Faribault, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his current wife, Betty, of Eagle Lake; by her children, Joe Flynn of Mankato, Vince (Leslie) Flynn of Crookston, Ann Armendariz of Eagle Lake and Barb (Leo) Strong of Kasota; by 12 step grandchildren, 17 step great grandchildren and by 1 step great-great grandchild; by two brothers, Arnold of Lonsdale and Terry of Faribault, five sisters, Marlene and William Robinson of Waseca, Charlotte and Ronald Wobschall, Sr. of Waterville, Darlene Pritchard, Yvonne Jeno and Veronica and Jim Hausen, all of Faribault, sisters in law, Shirley Jeno of Montgomery, and Jane Jeno of Stanton, California, brother in law Terry and Laurie Conway of Waseca. Richard is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and Jeno and Odette cousins and aunts, neighbors and friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Anthony, Charles and Mathew, a daughter, Martha, his brothers Fredrick, Jr., and Conrad, and sisters Sylvia Jeno and Sandra Conway.
