Stanley Paul, the youngest child of John L. and Agnes L. (Mariska) Nusbaum was born on July 13, 1917 at their family farm in Warsaw Township, Rice County, Minnesota. On June 24, 1941 Stanley married Helen Irene Morrissey. In 2016, they celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Stanley was a successful farmer for many years. In addition to farming, he and Helen operated a successful Pioneer Seed Distributorship for several years. Stanley always loved horses and helped start the local saddle club, Cannon Valley Saddle Club. As president, he arranged trail rides, horse shows and game days.

Stanley has always been very active. Almost daily, for many years, he and Helen walked around Faribault in the mornings. He loved riding his bicycle around the area and the state. For many years, into his eighties, he rode the TRAM, the MS bike ride across Minnesota. More than once he was designated as the oldest rider. During many years he was proud to tell his family and friends that he had ridden over 2000 miles. He enjoyed riding to the Senior Centers in Waseca, Northfield, Owatonna and Waterville to play cards.

Stanley has been a senior volunteer, visiting others and gathering baked good for various locations. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved talking to people, playing cards, golfing and was an excellent photographer. Stanley was a life-long Catholic. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Eagles.

Stanley loved Helen and his family. His family greatly admires and loves him. He is survived by Helen, his wife of 75 years; daughter, Irene (Clair) Henke of Plainwell, Michigan; son, Gerald (Marie) Nusbaum of Bloomington, Minnesota; daughter, Donna (Maxey) Keele of Faribault, Minnesota. Grandchildren: Alan (Susan) Henke of Goodrich, Michigan; Andrew (Renee) Henke of Grand Blanc, Michigan; Pamela Keele of Waterville, Minnesota; Lisa (Adam) Bunnell of Atkins, Iowa.
