Douglas Willaby

Douglas M. "Doug" Willaby, age 49, of Faribault, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault, with Fr. Kevin Kenney, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Douglas Matthew, the son of Dennis and Mary (DeRosier) Willaby was born on August 4, 1969 in Faribault, MN. He attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1988. Following high school Doug attended DeVry University and earned his degree in Electronics. On January 25, 2012 he was united in marriage to Angela Watson in Jamaica. Doug worked at different businesses in Faribault including Godfather's Pizza and most recently had been working at TruVue until health issues prevented him from working. Doug enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing with his dogs and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Angela Willaby of Faribault, MN; by his stepchildren, Kathryn Watson and Dylan Watson; by three grandchildren, Karlee Willaby, Brieanna Willaby and Chevelle Watson; by his parents, Dennis and Mary Willaby of Faribault, MN; by his sister, Barb Willaby of Rochester, MN; by his brothers, Greg Willaby and Bill (Jacquie) Willaby, both of Faribault, MN and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Matt and Marguerite DeRosier and Clarence and Anna Willaby.
