Helen Lucille (Cates) Kelsey, age 88 of Kaufman, TX and formerly of Faribault passed away on August 31, 2016 in Kaufman, Texas.
Funeral services were held in Kaufman, TX and a private burial will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
She was born to Lillian (Heyer) Cates and Walter Cates on February 5, 1928 in Faribault, MN. She married Wilfred Kelsey and together they had 3 daughters. Helen worked at JC Penney and later opened an antique shop in Medford, MN. They retired to Canton, TX in 1986. She enjoyed quilting, antiquing and watching wrestling on TV.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilfred, and her son-in-law, Larry Joe Young.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Linda Piper and husband Chuck of Faribault, MN, Diane Young of Kaufman, TX, Karen McMahon and husband Joe of Lewisville, TX, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Ruth Robinson and Pat Stoeckel and a niece and nephews.
The family would like to thank Sunflower Park and Solaris Hospice for all their TLC and Mary & Bob Estes for their weekly visit and candy.
