John Jenson

John Walter Jenson, age 72, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his home.

In keeping with John's wishes, a private family service will be held.

John Walter, son of George and Sadie (Palm) Jenson, was born on November 26, 1943 in Waseca, MN. He grew up in Sherwood, North Dakota and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1962. Following his schooling, he served in the United States Army. While assigned as Private First Class with the 57th Artillery, John was a launcher crewman in Okinawa, Japan.

On January 22, 1966, he was united in marriage to Patricia Hawkins at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. John and Patricia lived in several places including Montana and Michigan before coming back to Waseca in 1975 for John to work at Brown Printing. John worked at Brown Printing for over 30 years before retiring in 2006.

John is survived by his daughter, Karen (Andy) Bowder and their children Ethan, Kira, and Landon of Pocahontas, Iowa; and had an especially close relationship with his nephew Jeff Herbst, his wife Tanya (Keyes) and their children, Parker, Sadie, Cooper, and Grace Herbst of Waseca. John is also survived by his two brothers, Dean Jenson of Ellendale, MN and Leonard (Joyce) Jenson of Hayfield, MN; five sisters, Joyce (Roger) Larson of Ellendale, Janet (Don) Loken of Owatonna, Barbara Jenson, New Richland, Corrine (Jim) Jenson of Waseca, Marian (Jim) Motz of Rochester; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sadie; his wife, Patricia; and his sister, Charlotte Holland.
