Joshua F. Hurd, age 89, of Faribault, MN passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Private family services will be held.
Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Joshua Francis, the son of Mark Sr. and Florence (Sullivan) Hurd was born on July 22, 1929, in Minneapolis. He graduated from Washburn High School with the class of 1947 and attended the University of Minnesota. Joshua was married to Margaret Ward on June 1, 1950 in Minneapolis. He worked for his family's business, Mark Hurd Aerial Photography. He and Margaret lived in California from 1953 - 1992 owning and operating several pizza restaurants. Margaret preceded him in death on November 12, 2003. Joshua enjoyed arguing politics, hunting, fishing, photography, bikes and airplanes. He was also a member of the Associates Luncheon Group.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff Hurd, Dave (Kelly) Hurd, Dan Hurd, and Thomas (Elsie) Hurd; granddaughter, Kristen Hurd, and her children, Niko and Dayja, and granddaughter, Emily Hurd (Mark Jeno) and their children, Cameron and Ivory.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; parents, Mark Sr., and Florence; two sisters, Grace Ann, Florence and brother, Mark Jr. (Dude) Hurd.
Private family services will be held.
