Lucille Lacanne

Lucille B. LaCanne, age 86 of Faribault, MN, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Brookdale Senior Living in Faribault following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault with Fr. Kevin Kenney, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Lucille Betty, the daughter of Jerry and Albina (Moravec) Wanous was born on August 29, 1931 in Owatonna, MN. She was united in marriage to Marvin LaCanne on September 5, 1950 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Litomysl, MN. Together they farmed for many years in the Morristown area and Lucille raised their growing family. Marvin preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1999. Lucille enjoyed cooking and loved to make fresh baked goods. She loved visiting with friends and family, going out to eat with family, trips to the casino, dancing, keeping her home neat and spending time with her grandchildren. Her faith was an important part of her life and she was a faithful member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church.

She is survived by her four children, Duane (Julia) LaCanne and Al (Julie) LaCanne, both of Warsaw, MN and Lori LaCanne (Dennis Morrow) and Cheryl (Ken) Stenzel, both of Faribault, MN; by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; by her brother, Victor Wanous of Owatonna, MN; by her sister-in-law, Carol LaCanne of Faribault, MN; by her brother-in-law, Don Ress of Faribault, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Jerome, George and Eugene Wanous and by three sisters, Margaret Anderson, Libbie Srsen and Rosie Wanous.
