Marie Zensen

Marie C. Zensen, age 73, of Rochester, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away November 23, 2015 at her home in Rochester.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Marie Cecelia, the daughter of Clarence and Cecelia (Hurt) Zensen, was born on January 21, 1942 in Faribault, MN. She grew up on the family farm. Marie worked at Cedar Valley Services in Owatonna for over 20 years. In later years she attended the Rice County Activity Center and took part in and enjoyed their many activities until her health declined. Marie had a pleasant personality and enjoyed visiting with staff and her peers. She enjoyed watching sports on TV especially the Twins and Vikings. She also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and phone calls and visits from family.

Marie is survived by her sister Eula (Don) Ludwig of Elma, IA; by her niece, Rebecca (Sean) Mullan of Janesville, WI; nephew, James Ludwig of Elma, IA and great nephew and niece, Logan and Alyssa Mullan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother James Zensen.
