Mary Neymeyer

Mary C. Neymeyer, age 95, of Faribault, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at Christ The King Catholic Church in Medford, MN with Fr. Kevin Connolly, officiating. Interment will be held at the Resurrection Cemetery in Medford at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to services.

Mary Catherine, the daughter of Harry and Magdalyna (Smerychyska) Dutchak, was born on October 16, 1921 at their family farm in Swift County, Torning Township, MN. Mary attended Glenwood High School and graduated with the class of 1939. On June 20, 1942 she was united in marriage to John Neymeyer at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Glenwood, MN. After their marriage they moved to Cedar Falls, IA for John's work and later moved back to Glenwood where they farmed and raised their family. In 1961 they moved south of Faribault and lived in Walcott Township. Mary began working as a sales clerk at Och's Department Store and later worked at the Faribault Regional Center with the FATE program as a teacher's aide until her retirement. In retirement they traveled all over the United States. John preceded her in death on July 1, 2006. Mary enjoyed crocheting, dancing with John, cooking, gardening, her Peonies and most of all being with all of her family.

She is survived by her children, Cathy St. Martin of Faribault, MN, Joanne (Marv) Chmelik of Aitkin, MN, Ken Neymeyer of Faribault, MN and Greg Neymeyer and Scott Heil of Northfield, MN; by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, daughter, Janice Marie Neymeyer, daughter-in-law, Patsy Neymeyer, son-in-law, Donald "Butch" St. Martin and by six siblings.
