Peter Lacanne

Peter F. LaCanne, age 65, of Morristown, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2015 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Peter Francis was born on February 16, 1950 in Faribault to Lawrence and Veronica (Voegele) LaCanne. He attended Faribault High School. He was married to Cindy Hand on July 22, 1978 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Peter loved to work on engines. He worked for 25 years at Heselton's as a mechanic and would often buy vehicles to fix and sell. Peter enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing cards with family and friends. His dogs were his constant companions, traveling everywhere with him.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy LaCanne of Morristown; children, Jodi (Dale) Kowalski of Watertown, SD, and Peter Miller of North Liberty, IA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Janet (Dale) Silkey and Debbie (Al) Hofmaster, both of Faribault; sisters-in-law, Russlyn LaCanne of Miami, FL and Mary Jo (Scott) Ozmun; brother-in-law, Bob Hand (Bev); and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Veronica; siblings, Larry, Charles, Kenneth, and Thomas (Sandra) LaCanne; parents-in-law, Betty and Lloyd Hand; sister-in-law, Sandra Westerhouse; niece, Linda Silkey; and nephew, Thomas LaCanne Jr.
