Salin Rose, also known as Brenda Kay Salin, age 49 of Minneapolis and formerly of Duluth, MN, died on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 in Minneapolis.
Private services for the family will be held and interment will be at the Cannon City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, MN.
Salin Rose, the daughter of Tauno "Danny" and Andella (Nelson) Salin, was born on April 10, 1968 in Duluth, MN. She attended Duluth Central High School and graduated with the class of 1986. After high school she attended Harvard University and received her degree in Political Science. After college Salin served several years in the Peace Corps in Africa. Her career took her to different parts of the country including Los Angeles, Chicago and Minneapolis. She enjoyed biking, traveling, yoga and writing.
She is survived by her parents, Danny and Andella Salin of Faribault, MN; by three siblings, Nancy (Dennis) Burgess of Faribault, MN and Nancy's daughters, Jennifer, Jessica and Mallory, Diane Salin of Virginia, MN and her daughter Amy, and Gerald Salin and his children, Heather and Matthew and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Eisentrager.
