Sandra Luckow

Sandra Luckow, age 73 of Faribault, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a short illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with Fr. Kevin Kenney, officiating. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 am.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Sandra Lou, the daughter of Raymond and Marcella (Simmons) Thompson, was born on October 13, 1943 in Mankato, MN. Sandy grew up in Eagle Lake, MN and then her family moved to Faribault. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1961. Following high school she attended the Minnesota School of Business. On November 23, 1968 she was united in marriage to Ronald Luckow. Sandy worked at various businesses including Northwestern Bell as an operator and most recently as a cashier at Cabela's in Owatonna. Spending time with all of her family was important to Sandy and she also enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, bird watching, traveling and the occasional trip to the casino.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Luckow of Faribault; by two sons, Ronald Luckow Jr. and Kevin (Amy) Luckow, both of Faribault; by two step grandchildren, Kelsey Jones and Nicholas Luckow; by her beloved dog Abbie; by five siblings, Kathy Ozmun of Faribault, Sharon (Dick) Kadrlik of Apple Valley, MN, Michael (Renae) Thompson of Wilmar, MN, Christine (David) Drawert of Scottsdale, AZ and Brenda Thompson (Jeff Henry) of Faribault; by her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Thompson (Jim Bahe) of Faribault; by her brother-in-law, Chuck Ozmun of Faribault and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frank Thompson, great nephew, Dillon Bendt and by her father and mother-in-law, William and Loretta Luckow.
