Betty K. (Raskob) Jandro, age 95, of Faribault, MN, passed to eternal life on December 20, 2023, at the Reflections Suites at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, MN.
Betty Kathleen was born on November 3, 1928, in Faribault, the daughter of Andrew and Kathryn (Meyers) Raskob. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1946. Betty was united in marriage to Cyril Jandro on June 1, 1948, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Together they raised seven children. In January of 2016, at Cyril’s passing, they had been married for 67.5 years. Betty was dedicated to her faith, family, and community – volunteering in many capacities. An honored recipient of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women – Lay Woman volunteer award, recognizing her involvement in several CCW groups, parishes, and communities. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of Isabella. Her ardent passion was to be outdoors tending to her flower beds and vegetable garden. Remarkably Betty lived independently for 95 years.
She is survived by six daughters, Kathleen (Guy) Swanson, Sharanne (Patrick) Gruber, Deanna Maas, Cynthia Lennon, Connie Roosmalen, and Pamela (Andrew) Malecha; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; her brother, John Raskob; sister, Ramona Jandro; brother-in-law, Jack Sammon; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas (Joan) Jandro; parents, Andrew and Kathryn Raskob; step-mother, Clara Raskob; two grandsons, Patrick K. and James Gruber; two sisters, Ardis Sammon and Patricia (Dale) Jandro; brother-in-law, Walter Jandro; sister-in-law, Kay Raskob; and many dear in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic Church/School, Faribault Hospice Foundation, or St. Vincent de Paul in memory of Betty.
