Bradly T. Tupa

December 16, 1981 — June 25, 2025

Hong Kong, China

Bradly T. Tupa, of Hong Kong, China and formerly of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in Bali, Indonesia.

Bradly Theodore Tupa was born December 16, 1981, to Cheryl (Grabinger) Tupa and David Tupa. He grew up in the countryside in Dundas, Minnesota with his two sisters, Tara and Amy, who were so often his form of entertainment (the girls cannot say the same). The beloved family backyard was a place for bonfires, parties (sometimes known to Dave and Cheryl, sometimes not), and where Brad taught himself how to do a backflip, much to Cheryl’s distress. Brad had an exciting wrestling career since he was a young boy all the way through college, winning more times than not: a two-time State Champion at Faribault High School and a two-time All American at Augsburg College. Leading both teams as a team captain his senior years, he was a role model to many. His wrestling took him and his family all over the country, a trip to the White House, and one memorable trip abroad to Slovenia. He made a singlet look good.

Good natured teasing was one of Brad’s favorite past times. Siblings, friends, authority figures…everyone was susceptible to his sense of humor, as well as his charm. He didn’t get voted Biggest Flirt and Homecoming King in high school for nothing. He graduated from Augsburg College, Minneapolis, MN in 2006 with a degree in history. That’s where he met many life-long friends, as well as his wife, Cait Carlson. They married in 2009, at the Wabasha Street Caves, once a former speak-easy, on New Years Eve. After living a few years in Minnesota, they moved to Asia and had been living in Hong Kong since 2013. The two loved to travel, eat, and be merry. Brad and Cait have two French bulldogs, Ernie and Oakley, or so often referred to as Nuggets, by Brad.

While he didn’t have any children of his own, he is known as Uncle Brad to family and friends, and even some younger teammates. Kids would jump on him WWE style, and Brad would reciprocate with a dramatic body slam. Disclaimer: no children were ever harmed in these wrestling matches. His career in sales sent him to places all over the world, making friends all along the way, clients and colleagues alike. Brad was working in Bali, Indonesia when he passed away unexpectedly, on June 25, 2025. Those who knew and loved him, will miss him dearly.
