Carol J. Lemke, age 71, of Faribault, MN, passed away August 29, 2025, at the Emeralds of Faribault following a brief illness.
Carol Jean, the daughter of Lloyd and Patricia (Hofschulte) Nelson, was born on January 13, 1954. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1972. She was married to Dale Quinell on December 8, 1979. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1990. Carol later was married to Richard Lemke on December 18, 2000. She worked at Foldcraft in Kenyon, MN, for 20 years, and most recently was employed at Faribault Foods. Carol enjoyed gardening, watching mystery and true crime shows, collecting salt and pepper collectables, playing cards, making wine, going to garage sales, and watching the Vikings.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Lemke; son, Brad Dunn and his children, Dasha (Tyler), Rebecca, Jolissa, Erin, and Summer; son, Danny Quinnell (Deniz), and their children, Dezmyn and Sofia; great grandchildren, Winnie, Owen, Love, MaryJan, Weston, and Gatlin; siblings, Dennis Nelson, David Nelson (Debbie), Tom Nelson (Gail), Jim Nelson, Mark Nelson (Mary), Laurie Tungsvik (Merlin), Mary Nelson (Jim Hiller), Lisa Kuhlman (Bob), and Kim Schroeder; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Quinnell; parents, Lloyd and Patricia; parents-in-law, Richard and Marion Lemke; brothers, Steve Nelson, and Gary Nelson; sisters-in-law, Kathy Nelson, and Maureen Nelson; and nephews, Daniel Bauer, and Pat Bauer.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault.
