Carol A. Ryan

Carol A. Ryan, age 81 of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Faribault Senior Living.

Carol Ann, the daughter of Anton and Gladys (Meyer) Goracke, was born on January 18, 1944 in Waseca, MN. Carol graduated from Montgomery High School with the Class of 1962. She married James Ryan in June of 1967 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault, MN. They later divorced. She worked for Midwest Importers for many years before retiring and driving cab. Carol loved spending time with family and friends. When she was in conversation she blocked out everything else and focused on you. She had a big heart and her compassion for others was obvious. Her greatest gift might have been her ability to make friends.

Carol is survived by her son, Dominic (Sue Jacobson) Ryan; grandsons, Zach (Sarah) Ryan and Luke Ryan (Jaden Nguyen); siblings, Ralph Goracke, Gail Soukup, and Lorraine Treinen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy (Goracke) Harmon; brother-in-law, Bill Treinen; and sister-in-law, Kay Goracke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault with Father Cory Rohlfing officiating. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. at church prior to Mass.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory.
