Cheryl A. Ackmann

Cheryl A. Ackmann, age 72, of Faribault, MN, passed away October 11, 2026, following an extended illness.

Cheryl Ann, the daughter of Lewette and Beverly (Fehn) Ackmann, was born on January 24, 1954, in Faribault. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1972. Cheryl was married to David Schwartz, they had two children and were later divorced. She previously had operated a daycare, worked as a waitress at Country Kitchen, and most recently worked at Genova. Cheryl enjoyed baking, knitting, and word puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her children, Michael Schwartz, and Amy Chandler (Robert); grandchildren, Payton, Benjamin, and Scarlet Schwartz, and Mason, Logan, and Olivia Chandler; brothers, Donald Ackmann (Patty), Mark Ackmann (Yvonne), and Paul Ackmann (Wendy); and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her longtime companion of 30 years, Richard Brohmer on August 29, 2026; her parents, Lewette and Beverly; sister, Diane Ackmann; brother, Steven Ackmann; and former husband, David Schwartz.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault. Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
