Elizabeth "Liz" M. Miller

Elizabeth “Liz” Miller, age 59 of Waterville, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 after a courageous seven year battle with cancer.

Elizabeth Marie, the daughter of Donald and Carolyn (Walch) Miller, was born on June 7, 1966 in St. Paul, MN. Liz grew up in Mendota Heights, MN and later moved to Inver Grove Heights with her family. She graduated from Sibley High School in 1984 before attending and graduating from Winona State University with a degree in communications in 1988. During this time Liz grew to love running, she ran cross country in high school and would run multiple times a week into the last months of her life.

Her education led to an occupation in marketing for several years. Eventually, her passion for animals led her to test a profession in the veterinary care industry, but ultimately her caring and compassionate nature brought Liz to what she believed was her calling, managing senior living facilities. Liz finished her professional career in the vocation she loved as Housing Director at Willow Brook Cooperative in Mankato, where she was loved by many of their residents. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed baking, arts and crafts, especially making stained glass art panels and mosaics made with ceramic tile. She gifted most of her art to friends and family. She loved spending time with her friends, family, and dogs.

Liz is survived by her life partner of 23 years, Gary Robertson; mother, Carolyn Miller; brothers, Michael (Ann) Miller and Tony Miller, Gary’s siblings, Richard Robertson and Denise Jefferies; step-children, Brittany and Eric; seven step-grandchildren; two nephews; one niece; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald, Gary’s parents, Dale and Daisy Robertson; and Gary’s sister, LeAnn Robertson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 County Road 42 E. Burnsville, MN. Interment will take place at a later date at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault and will continue for an hour prior to Mass at the church on Saturday.
