James M. "Jimmy" Heine, age 60, of Faribault, MN, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017, at his home following an extended illness surrounded by family.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the new location of Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating.
James Michael was born on August 22, 1956 in Faribault to James P. and Phyllis (Gustafson) Heine. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1975. For over 30 years, Jimmy worked at St. Lucas Care Center as a CNA. He was married to Sharon A. Hanson on February 18, 1994 in Faribault. Jimmy loved working outside, whether it was lawn mowing or gardening. Anything others would consider work, he would consider it pure enjoyment! He also was a member of the Faribault Council 889 Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Heine of Faribault; children by marriage, daughter, Brenda & Troy Lyman of Cannon City, and sons, Tony Hanson of Faribault, and Greg & Melody Hanson of Gainesville, GA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Deb & Jim Roell of Alexandria, MN, Sandy Daniels of New Germany, MN, Patricia & Kevin Thomas of Faribault, and Joyce & Todd Trump of Faribault; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. and Phyllis Heine; brother-in-law, Bill Daniels; mother & father in-law, Clarence and Genevieve Hanson; and uncle, Tom Heine.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Allina Hospice in memory of Jimmy.
