James F. Stahl

James F. Stahl, age 76 of Faribault, MN passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the J A Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park, MN following an extended illness.

James Fredrick, the son of Mandring “Debs” and Kay (Denfeld) Stahl was born on September 6, 1948 in St. Paul, MN. He attended Mounds View High School and graduated with the class of 1966. After high school he attended The Rocky Mountain School of Art in Colorado and later attended The University of Wisconsin-Superior. Jim was first and foremost an artist. He was blest with a talented gift that spread over many areas of his life and he was able to leave a lasting legacy. He was a musician, artist and author. He was the lead singer and keyboard player in several bands over his career and many may remember him from his time with “The Cruiser’s”. Jim also did beautiful artwork that he sold at craft shows and markets over the years. On July 13, 2013 he was united in marriage to Linda Sandell (Raasch) in Maple Grove, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Stahl of Faribault, MN; by his children, Jason (Shari) Stahl of Sheboygan, WI, and Joshua (Bobbie Jo) Stahl of Plymouth, WI; by six grandchildren, Samantha, Sage, Tommy, Cassidy, Jacob and Caleb; by three great grandchildren, Rachel, Deklin and Raiden; by his step grandchildren, Amanda Belonger and Whitney Bunge; by his sister, Jacci (Mike) Krebsbach of Shoreview, MN; by Linda’s children, Tanya (Greg) James, Scott (Autumn) Balmer and Patrick (Raeanne) Balmer; by Linda’s grandchildren, Destiny, Garrett, Carson and Reece; and by his aunt, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mandring “Debs” and Kay Stahl.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
