Janelle Lacanne

Janelle K. LaCanne, age 63 of Morristown, MN passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Janelle Katherine, the daughter of Harlan and Rita (Otto) Jarvis, was born on April 21, 1957 in Faribault.  She attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1975.  On October 16, 1976 she was united in marriage to Ray “Butch” LaCanne at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault.  Janelle worked from 1975 to 1987 at E.F. Johnson in Waseca and in 1987 Butch and Janelle started LaCanne’s Marine and worked hard to grow their business to what it is today.  Janelle was a fun person to be around and enjoyed time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.  She loved having them over for sleep overs, taking them for rides in the golf cart and sometimes even naps with Nana.  She also enjoyed playing cards and camping.

She is survived by her husband, Ray “Butch” LaCanne; by her sons, Cory (De Ann) LaCanne and Nick (Melanie) LaCanne; by eight grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Josie, Darby, Malia, Baron, Corbin and Crosby; by her siblings, Joan (Tony) Jasinski, Rebecca Lambert, Shelly (Robert) Cloutier, Laurie Murray, Theresa (Ryan) Friesen, Jeff (Dorothy) Jarvis, Joe (Julie) Jarvis and Jerry (Jackie) Jarvis and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Rita Jarvis and two grandchildren, Chase and Finley LaCanne.

Private services will be held for the family.  Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials be directed to the Faribault Food Shelf, St. Vincent de Paul Society, IRIS and the Earnest Effort Christmas Wish in memory of Janelle.
