Janet M. Doneux

Janet M. Doneux, age 88 of Faribault, MN and formerly of Northfield, MN passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 surrounded by her family following a short illness.

Janet Mae, the daughter of Francis and Myrtle (Gibbs) Waldron was born on September 2, 1937 in Faribault, MN. She attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1955. On June 7, 1958 she was united in marriage to David Doneux at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. David preceded her in death on October 14, 2022. In 1967, they moved to Northfield and raised their family there. When their children were finished their schooling, Janet began working as a teller at Premier Bank in Northfield. In January of 2022 they moved to Mill City Senior Living in Faribault. Janet was an active member at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Northfield and later joined Divine Mercy Catholic Church. She enjoyed walking, gardening, crafting and traveling to Duluth and the north shore.

She is survived by her children, David Doneux (Ruth Ann), Mark Doneux (Brenda), Jackie Krenske (Dave), Julie Conroy (Lou); grandchildren, Dominic Doneux, Andy Krenske (Amanda), Jill Krenske, Matt Doneux (Danika) and Jacob Doneux; great grandson, Wade Doneux; by her siblings, Gertrude Anderson, Patricia Bauer (David), Maxine Jandro (David) and Margaret Larson (Milo) and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters, Sylvia Waldron, Priscilla Waldron and Kathleen Smisek.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault, with Fr. Alex Marquette officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
