Janice (Shaske) Hatfield

Janice (Shaske) Hatfield, age 83, of Sleepy Eye, MN, and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away November 3, 2023, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.

Janice Ladonna was born on February 19, 1940, in Faribault, MN, to Frank and Margaret (Woods) Shaske.  She was united in marriage to Robert Hatfield Sr. on February 3, 1960.  Janice was an outstanding homemaker for her family providing an environment of comfort and care for her boys.  She loved arts and crafts, making her passion into a business.  Janice designed numerous crochet patterns that were published and sold to many, along with operating a store with her husband in Rosemount.  She also greatly cared for her dog Toby.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Hatfield Jr. (Sue) of Upsala, MN, Rick Hatfield (Nancy) of Faribault, Jeff Hatfield of Rosemount, and Randy Loucks (Sylvia) of Germany; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr.; parents, Frank and Margaret; sons, Fred and David; brothers and sister, Kenneth Shaske, Frank Shaske, Carol Wilker, Lowell Shaske, and Daniel Shaske.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
