Jeanne Gray

Jeanne R. Gray, age 87, of Faribault, MN, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Faribault Senior Living.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Jeanne Rosalie was born on November 12, 1929 in Faribault to Edmund and Evelyn (Dube) McGinnis. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1947. She worked as a secretary at the Faribault State Schools for some years. Jeanne was married to Paul S. Gray for 25 years. She worked at Gray Construction for several years and then was very busy raising four sons and one daughter. Later in life she met her longtime companion, Roy Mews. Jeanne was an active member of the Divine Mercy CCW, and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family at the lake and enjoyed pontoon rides with friends and family. Her grandchildren would often see her watching them at their school sporting events and dance competitions.

She is survived by her five children, Paul A. (Julie) Gray of Faribault, Steve (Cindy) Gray of Faribault, John Gray (significant other, Brenda Wayne) of Faribault, Kevin (Heidi) Gray of Casper, WY, and Kathy (Jerry) Smith of Inver Grove Heights, MN; nine grandchildren, Paul J. Gray, Tara (Justin) Miller, Brandon Gray, Alyssa Gray, Aaron Gray, Eliza Gray, Travis (Sarah) Gray, Megan Gray, and Katlyn Smith; four great grandchildren, Kirsi, Levi, Jaxon, and Giada; sister, Carmen Dison of Rochester, MN; longtime companion, Roy Mews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Paul S. Gray; and brothers, John McGinnis and Michael McGinnis.
