Jerome Doneux

Jerome "Jerry" Doneux, age 76, of Faribault, MN, died on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN following a short illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.

Jerome Joseph was born on December 15, 1940 in Faribault to Ernest and Muriel Marie (Caron) Doneux. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1959. Jerry was in the military for 25 years. He served active duty in the U.S. Army, followed by Reserves and National Guard until retirement. He was married to Mary Stransky on July 28, 1979 in Faribault. Jerry had a 45-year career as an automotive technician. He worked for Steffen's, McRaith's, and Malone's car dealerships. His last employment was with Community Co-Op (Cenex) for 15 years. Jerry was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 2098, American Legion Post 43, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1562. He enjoyed watching the Vikings, fixing vehicles, and playing darts.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Doneux of Faribault; children, Victor Price of Austin, MN, Robbie (Ava) Dunn of Olivehurst, CA, Joseph (Amber) Doneux of Faribault, and Lee (Katrina) Doneux of Faribault; grandchildren, August Doneux, Collin Dunn, Briana Price, and Jenna Marie Doneux; three great grandchildren; siblings, Darlene (Hank) Thibault of Faribault, his twin, Judy (William) Lewis of Virginia, and David (Janet) Doneux of Northfield, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Muriel Doneux.
