Jerome "Jerry" T. Schweisthal

Jerome “Jerry” T. Schweisthal, age 91 of Faribault, MN passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 at his home.

Jerome Theodore, the son of Theodore “Ted” and Aurelia “Orley” (Rainey) Schweisthal, was born on January 9, 1934 in Faribault, MN. Jerry grew up in Faribault and attended Bethlehem Academy before stepping away to help on the family farm. He enlisted in the United States Army and served for 2 years. He was then united in marriage to the love of his life, Carole Donkers on April 19, 1958 in St. Paul, MN. Jerry worked as a mechanic for Virtue Pond before starting at Matejek’s where he worked for 37 years. Following his retirement, he worked at the Faribault Golf and Country Club doing lawn maintenance. He also enjoyed being a hobby farmer and building models of farms. He loved spending time with his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carole; children, Scott (Deb) Schweisthal, Sandra (Mark) Glynn, and Steven (Rosanne) Schweisthal; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and two on the way; sister, Linda (Richard) Moore; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Schweisthal.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, Faribault with Bernadette Tatge officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
