JoAnne Peters

JoAnne Peters, age 86 of Faribault, MN passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Three Links Care Center in Northfield, MN.

JoAnne, the daughter of Phillip and Esther (Stadler) Forcelle, was born on May 15, 1939 in Faribault, MN. She attended Bethlehem Academy High School and later South Central Technical College. On May 20, 1989 she was united in marriage to William M. Peters at the Cannon Valley Church of Christ. Mr. Peters preceded her in death on October 26, 2004. JoAnne worked for many years as the receptionist at the Wilson Center in Faribault.

JoAnne was involved with the Community Theater in Faribault for many years. She also loved to play dice, play cards and play different games, sing karaoke, make crafts, painting and baking.

She is survived by her sons, Dan (Barb) Chevelle and Scott Snow; by her granddaughter, Racheal Wagaman; by her great granddaughter, Jamie Wagaman; by her siblings, Lynne Knutson, Fr. Joseph Forcelle, Fred (Joyce) Forcelle and Susan Forcelle; by Bill’s children, Maggie Miech, Marlene Peters, Barb Juaire, Diane (Tim) Evans, Susan (Roy) Phillips, Theresa (Don) Green, Kim Kanzenbach, and Willie (Lisa) Peters; 33 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 28 great great grandchildren; and by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Christine Forcelle, two daughters in infancy, Lisa and Vicky, siblings, Frank (Joan) Lee, Rose (Paul Jr.) Freid, Michael (Colleen) Forcelle and Carol (Ernest) Juaire and Bill’s children, Dolly (Rudy) Schultz and son-in-law, Jack Miech.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with Fr. Joseph Forcelle officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
