June M. Hanson

June M. Hanson, age 82 of Faribault, MN passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Mill City Senior Living.

June Mary, the daughter of Leonard and Elsie Pollack, was born on December 3, 1942 in New Prague, MN. June attended Montgomery High School. She moved to Faribault and worked as a housekeeper at District One Hospital for over 35 years. She loved going to garage sales, antiquing, sending cards for everyone’s birthdays and special events, and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her life and any time she could spend with them, she would.

June is survived by her children, Debi (Joe) Garvin, Mark (Karlene) McKenna, Matthew (Lisa) McKenna, Michael (Judy) McKenna, Dawn Taggart, and Dustin (Nicole) Hanson; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale Simonette and Keith Simonette; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Hanson; brothers, Wayne Simonette and David Simonette; sisters, Audrey Brady, Lana Parker, and Sharon Tietz; and former husbands, James McKenna and Robert Voracek.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Jorgensen officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
