Kay A. Goracke

Kay A. Goracke, age 81 of Faribault, MN passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at The Emeralds of Faribault following an extended illness.

Catherine “Kay” Ann, the daughter of Raymond and Jean (Coderre) Hendricks, was born on September 19, 1942 in Owatonna, MN. Kay attended Bethlehem Academy and graduated with the Class of 1961. She was united in marriage to Ralph Goracke on April 1, 1966 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Kay was a homemaker and took care of her family very lovingly. She was a member of The Red Hats Society. Kay devoted much of her free time volunteering in the Grandparent program at Divine Mercy Catholic School and at St. Vincent De Paul. When she wasn’t volunteering, Kay enjoyed cross-stitching, embroidery, doing puzzles and crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, visiting friends for a meal or going to different events in the community, such as parades, concerts in the park, and watching the animals at the nature center.

Kay is survived by her husband, Ralph; son, Steve (Kim) Goracke and their son, Lane Goracke; daughter, Denise (Eric) Crowe, and their children, Parker, Kendahl, and Jenson Crowe; siblings, Tom (Bonnie) Hendricks, Mary (Jesus “Moso”) Davilla, Pam (Gary) Plaisance, David (Dolores “Dolly”) Hendricks, Carol Esquibel, and Debbie (Roy “Coco”) Henry; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marilyn Goracke; and granddaughter, Danica Goracke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, with Fr. Cory Rohlfing officiating. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at church prior to Mass.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
