Larry W. Klante, age 83 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at his home.
Larry William, the son of Roland and Revena (Lewis) Klante was born on March 22, 1942 in Seattle, WA. He attended Milroy High School and graduated with the class of 1960. While he was attending Mankato State University, Larry served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was called to active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He later returned to Mankato State and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1968. On July 24, 1999 he was united in marriage to Linda Breyer in Faribault. Larry worked as a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise. He was known as the unofficial mayor of Circle Lake, a place that he has lived for 52 years. He loved being outdoors riding his four-wheeler, going hunting or going on fishing trips. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Klante of Faribault, MN; by his sons, Jason (Sherilyn) Klante of Maple Grove, MN and Justin Klante of Faribault, MN; by his stepchildren, Lori (Gary) Crouse of Lonsdale, MN, Tina (Tom) Schrader of Waterville, MN, Chuck Kuether and Kathy Davidson of Warsaw, MN, Becky (Nate) Pettman of Chippewa Falls, WI and Jessica Martinson of Warsaw, MN; by 12 grandchildren, Seth, Lexi, Trista, Trenton, Tierney, Christina, Dreya, Aidan, Samantha, Riley, Cooper and Violet; by a great grandson, Silas; sister, Patricia (Bill) Huney; and by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Terry Klante.
A private family celebration of Larry’s life will be held.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
