Leone Lorraine was born on July 18, 1931, the only daughter of William and Lorraine (Voss) Voegel. Leone was an eight-year student at Immaculate Conception Grade School; graduated from Faribault High School in 1949; attended the Collage of St. Catherine, affiliated with St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul. She attained her Registered Nurse certification in 1952 and worked at St. Joe's "third floor main".

Leone and E. Richard 'Dick' Jarvis were married in December 1953, witnessed by Father Foley at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. They made homes and raised a family of six children in Indiana, Colorado, and Minnesota. At the time of her death, Leone and Dick had been married 64 years.

Most of Leone's childhood playmates were her cousins, many of whom lived in a single city block in Faribault. She had fond memories of car trips to her grandparent's homes in Faribault and Northfield and greatly enjoyed all her relatives in those towns. A talented musician, she sang in choirs, played the church organ and excelled with the clarinet. She encouraged her children to become musicians.

Leone was a lifelong member of the Daughters of Isabella, and more recently the Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. She retained her registered nurse license up until a few years before her death. She belonged to PTA organizations in Indiana and Minnesota and was an active volunteer in the schools as well as with the church, hospital, and charitable organizations.

Leone's professional work career was relatively short and she dedicated her life to raising her children and providing a nurturing atmosphere of love, respect, pride, independence, and a thirst for education. She remained a devoted mother and grandmother to the very end of her life. She will be greatly missed by her husband, family, and by her many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Dick Jarvis; by six children, Kathleen Jarvis (Lenny Richardson), Michael Jarvis (Susan Rayne), Mark Jarvis, Fr. Paul Jarvis, Anne Jarvis (Dcn. Steve Moses) and Patrick T. Jarvis (Jana Voss); her nine grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Jonathan, Nathan, Nicholas, Traeton, Quinn, Camden, Reece; and many other relatives and friends.

Leone was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lorraine; and brother, Gordon Voegel.
