LeRoy Sticha

LeRoy Sticha, age 74 of Faribault, MN passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 following an extended illness. 

LeRoy Edward, the son of Edward and Evelyn (Schoenbauer) Sticha was born on April 11, 1949 in New Prague, MN.  He attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School and Montgomery High School.  LeRoy owned and operated his own over the road trucking business for many years and in retirement he drove seasonally for Ag Partners.  LeRoy enjoyed Nascar, horses and playing euchre with family and friends.  He also enjoyed watching and feeding birds when he moved to Brookdale Senior Living.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Senior Living, his hospice caretakers, Bernadette Tatge, the pharmacy staff at Hy-Vee and Karen Hoflock at Rice County for the special care that was given to LeRoy.

He is survived by his siblings, Gene Sticha and special friend, Alicia Withanom, Joyce (Terry) Morrisette, Marlene (Kurt) Degner, David Sticha and Ed Sticha and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Chad.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with Fr. Clayton Forner officiating.  Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The family prefers that memorials be directed Divine Mercy Catholic Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of LeRoy.
