Louis J. “Fritz” St. Martin Jr., age 89 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 18, 2019 at his home.
Private family services will be held with interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Louis Jerome, the son of Louis Sr. and Violet (Nordmeier) St. Martin, was born on October 1, 1930 in Faribault. He attended Faribault High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Following his service time Fritz served on the Faribault Fire Department for 20 years, retiring in 1981. During that time Fritz also worked with Wunderlich Painting, Kletschka Electric and Bob’s Electric. Fritz enjoyed riding Harley’s, building and flying model airplanes and also built his own ultra-light airplane that he flew for many years. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 1562 in Faribault.
He is survived by his daughter Vicki (Tom) Olson of Faribault; by three grandchildren, Joe Christensen of Lauderdale, MN, Alex Olson of Scottsdale, AZ and Julia Olson of Seattle, WA; by two great grandchildren; by his sister Pamela of Red Lake Falls and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by three sisters, Barbara Meillier, Joan Sobrek and Beverly Fredenberg.
