Marcella "Marcy" Paquette

Marcella “Marcy” Paquette, age 95, of Faribault, MN, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 surrounded by her family at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN following a brief illness.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault.  Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Marcella Elenore was born on March 4, 1923 in Owatonna, MN to Albert F. and Margaret (Mathis) Kading.  She graduated from Owatonna High School with the class of 1941.  Marcy married Harold Paquette on November 8, 1945 in Owatonna.  She worked for 23 years at Sears Roebuck, then with Hour Glass Cleaners in Faribault.  Marcy then proudly volunteered as a foster grandparent at Jefferson Elementary.  She then worked for nine years with the Work Force Center in Faribault.  Marcy enjoyed embroidery, flowers, sewing, cooking, cards, baking, golfing and bowling.  She loved going to her grandchildren’s activities, and was an avid Twins and Gophers fan.

She is survived by her son, Larry Paquette and his children, Mindy (Bryan) Berkner and Leslie (Steve) Koepke; son, Greg (Lois) Paquette and children, Jessica (Dan) Wagner and A.J. (Jason) Reger; daughter-in-law, Irene Paquette and children, Jennifer (David) Campbell and Scott (Katie) Paquette; daughter-in-law, Julie Paquette and children, Crystal (Matthew) Burt and Kyle Paquette; Gary’s children, Adam (Preethie) Paquappan and Lyndie Paquette; 17 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; sons, Tom Paquette, Gary Paquette, and Charlie Paquette; brother, Emmert Kading; parents and grandparents.
