Margelaine "Marge" M. Duchene

Margelaine “Marge” Duchene, age 89 of Faribault, MN passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Faribault Senior Living.

Margelaine Mae, the daughter of Milton and Margaret (Thomas) Krenske, was born on January 17, 1937 in Faribault, MN. She grew up in Faribault and graduated from Faribault High School with the Class of 1955. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Raymond Duchene on August 10, 1957. They lived on the family farm in Wells Township. Marge worked for the State Bank of Faribault for over 53 years. She held various titles at the bank over those years. While she wasn’t working, Marge enjoyed being a part of the Trinity Quilt Group. She loved to cook and bake and was known for her famous cinnamon rolls, goulash and wild rice soup. She loved to attend any events her family participated in including snowmobile races, car races and horseshows. She was very active at St. Patrick’s Church, including serving funeral lunches, eucharistic minister, many fundraisers, and counting money. The church was a very big part of her life. One of her greatest joys was being with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marge is survived by her son, Patrick (Mary) Duchene; grandchildren, Patrick John “PJ” (Cara) Duchene of Faribault and Marisarah (Cody) Larvick of Lakeville; great grandchildren, Patrick James and Sumer Duchene, Vincent, Vayda, and Wyatt Larvick, and Bently and Braxton Ramsey; sisters, Marcy Matthies and Alice (Daryl) Bosacker; sister-in-law, Marie Bauer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; parents Milton and Margaret; siblings, Dorothy (Sylvester) Emge, Evelyn Gamble, Donald, William, and Michael Krenske; brothers-in-law, Dave Matthies and Donald Bauer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at the Church of St. Patrick, 7525 Dodd Rd, Faribault, MN with Father Timothy Sandquist officiating. Interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at church prior to Mass.
