Marianne Peroutka, age 93 of Faribault, MN entered into heaven on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Pleasant Manor Senior Community in Faribault.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.

Marianne, the daughter of John and Mary (Jiracek) Kratochvil was born February 6, 1926 in New Prague, MN.  She attended New Prague High School and the College of St. Catharine’s in St. Paul.  She married Stanley Peroutka on August 12, 1944 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, which was built by her father John, founder of Kratochvil Construction.  Stanley preceded her in death on February 8, 2005.  After their marriage they lived in Morristown for 30 years and then they moved to Faribault in 1974.

Marianne was employed at the Morristown Creamery as well as Thrifty White’s, Woolworth’s and Montgomery Ward’s in Faribault. She was a very meticulous housekeeper and always had extra cookies in the “cookie jar”.  Marianne enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing cards (especially bridge & cribbage), playing the organ, and walking.  However, her greatest enjoyment came from being with her family and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.    Although she did not want this revealed, she also truly enjoyed going to Mystic Lake with her friends, who called themselves the “Prayer Group” ladies.  Marianne was a lifetime member of CCW, Hospital and KC Auxiliary and a charter member of the Sacred Heart Choir.

She is survived by two children, daughter Mary Joanne (Joanie) and Darwin Rieck of Edmonds, WA and son Michael and Paula Peroutka of Faribault, MN, five grandchildren Craig (Molly) Peroutka, Rosemount, MN; Stephanie (Andy) Heavner, Lacey, WA;  Brent (Brianne) Peroutka, Faribault, MN; Andrew (Haley) Rieck, Huntsville, AL;  Ross (Chelsea) Peroutka, Savage, MN, and eleven great grandchildren Grant, Will, Anna Peroutka (Craig & Molly); Jacob Heavner (Stephanie & Andy); Logan, Emma, Reese Peroutka (Brent & Brianne); Landon, Nolan, Beau Peroutka (Ross & Chelsea); Joseph Rieck (Andrew & Haley).

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Venny, Jack and Dick Kratochvil and one sister, Hedy Loula.
