Marilyn J. Swenson

Marilyn J. Swenson, age 65, of Wanamingo, MN, passed away January 23, 2026.

Marilyn was born on September 26, 1960, in Owatonna, MN, the daughter of Kenneth and Doris (Ellefson) Brandvold. She graduated from Medford High School. Marilyn enjoyed baking and crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was married to Tom Swenson; he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Gonzalez (Matt) of Faribault, MN; grandchildren, Wynonna Garcia, Michael McMonigal (Sydney), and Hunter Dralle; great grandchildren, Emma, Elijah, and Ezra McMonigal; siblings, Karen Peglow of Owatonna, Kathy Quinnell of Morristown, MN, Pat Jensen (Ron) of Owatonna, Lori Cordova (Jesse) of Oklahoma City, OK, Dean Brandvold of Medford, Kenny Brandvold of Owatonna, and sister-in-law, Shari Brandvold of Mazeppa; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Swenson; parents, Kenneth and Doris Brandvold; sisters, Carol Brandvold and Diane Baseman; and brothers, Dale Brandvold and Keith Brandvold.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
