Mary T. Boggie, age 91, of Golden Valley, MN, and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Sunrise of Golden Valley.

Mary Therese was born on August 25, 1932, in Faribault, MN, the daughter of Martin and Elizabeth (Dandelet) Boggie.  She graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1950.  She continued her education at the College of St. Benedict, Mankato State University for teaching license, and later at St. Thomas University for her master’s degree in education. Mary taught for 34 years in the private and public sector. She taught John F. Kennedy Jr. at St. David’s School in New York City, and taught in Boston, Waseca, MN, Minneapolis, and St. Paul, retiring in 1998.  Mary traveled extensively, traveling to six continents, and enjoyed music, concerts, and the opera.  She also loved the arts and was interested in fashion.  Mary was active at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis and was devoted to her faith.  She loved her cats, enjoyed meeting people, and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Kate O’Neil; nieces, Sheila Reardon and Meghan Kincaid; nephews, John Reardon Jr., Mark O’Neil, Tom O’Neil, and John O’Neil; great nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Elizabeth; and her sister, Mona Reardon.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault.   Visitation will be from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m.   Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Academy High School in memory of Mary.
