Mathew J. Elton

Mathew J. Elton, age 35 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his home.

Mathew James, the son of James and Theresa (Koran) Elton, was born on October 16, 1989 in Aurora, Colorado. Mathew grew up in Colorado before moving to Minnesota as a young boy. He worked for Trystar. While he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing video games, cross stitching, and building Legos. He also loved to spend time outdoors and having bonfires.

Mathew is survived by his mother, Theresa (Keith) Rieland; father, James (Michelle) Elton; son, Benjamin Elton; brother, Brian (Angie) Elton; step-siblings, Randall (Natalie) Burns Jr., William Burns, and Nicholas Burns; niece, Cheyenne; nephew, Blake; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother.

Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault.
