Michael (Woody) Meder, age 71, of Faribault, MN, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the District One Hospital in Faribault.
Private family services are being arranged for Michael.
Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Michael John was born on September 21, 1946 in Faribault to Vernon (Woody) and Rosella Ann (Hartman) Meder. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1964 and Mankato State with a business degree. Following college, he proudly served in the National Guard for six years. Michael worked in construction prior to his longtime career as an independent carpet installer. He installed carpet for Vohs Floors and the Carpet Carriage. Michael was a member of the American Legion Post 43.
He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Libby) Meder (and Tom Buendorf); his girls, Diana (Keith) Reese and their children, Christian and Cory, and Lisa (Travis) Ernste and their children, Jacob and Tyler; plus many cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Vernon (Woody) and Rosella; and longtime partner, Sharon Larson Klapperich.
