Michael "Mick" White

Michael “Mick” White, age 77 of Faribault, MN passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home.

Michael Neale, the son of Elmer and Mildred (Grose) White, was born on September 9, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN. Mick grew up in Dodge Center, MN and graduated from Dodge Center High School with the Class of 1965. He attended Mankato State University for 2 years before graduating from Faribault Vo-Tech. Mick worked as an Executive Chef for Carleton College in Northfield, MN, along with many other food management establishments in the Faribault Area. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Walkowiak on April 15, 1978 in Faribault. Mick loved being a chef and when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, embroidery, and spending time with his family.

Mick is survived by his wife, JoAnn; children, Michele (Jay) Voegele, Joseph (Sarah) White, Shawn White, Mindy (Dan) Smith, and Michael (Rebecca) White; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Bremer and Charlene (Mark) Buck; sister-in-law, Kathleen White; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joseph White and Duane White.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault. Private family interment will take place a St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday prior to Mass at church.

Memorials are preferred to Divine Mercy Catholic Church or Allina Hospice in honor of Mick.
