Noreen A. Kuchinka

Noreen A. Kuchinka, age 77 of Faribault, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Noreen Ann, the daughter of Emil and Rose (Valek) Havlicek, was born on January 8, 1948 in Webster Township, MN. She was raised in Veseli, MN and attended the catholic elementary school there. She married Reynold Kuchinka in 1965. They were married for 10 years and had three children together. Noreen then moved to Faribault and waitressed at the Lavender Inn for many years before becoming a manager at Super 8 Motel. While she wasn’t working, she loved bargain shopping, including thrift shops and garage sales, going out to eat with her family and friends, Pizza Ranch was her favorite, and she loved spending time with her friends and family. She was always thinking of others whenever there was a special event such as birthdays and holidays. Her Czech heritage was important to her.

Noreen is survived by her children, Kim (Steve) Knight, Jeff Kuchinka (Jean Jenson), and Tammy Kuchinka (Todd Hagerty); grandchildren, Kiersten Kuchinka (Matthew Duskin), Megan Kuchinka (Troy Jeno), Katie (Alec) Wilson, and Blake Hagerty; great-grandchildren, Hayleigh, Kylee, Jaelynn, Maisei, and Brewer; sister, Angie Skluzacek, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emil and Rose; siblings, Arnold Havlicek, Raymond Havlicek, Sophie Pexa, Elaine Sevcik, and Francis “Fritz” Havlicek.

Interment will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, MN.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Pexa Family for all their help and support while honoring Noreen’s wishes. As well as Minnesota Hospice for their care of Noreen.
