Regina Kennedy

Regina A. Kennedy, 98, of Edina, MN and formerly of Owatonna, MN and Faribault, MN, passed away on Tues., Aug. 1, 2017 at the English Rose Suites in Edina, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault, with Fr. Matthew Northenscold officiating. Interment will be held at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna, MN.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault in memory of Regina.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Regina Agnes, the daughter of John and Agnes (Czerwinski) Krause, was born on Dec. 26, 1918 in Owatonna, MN. She attended Owatonna High School and graduated with the class of 1937. On Nov. 3, 1952 she was united in marriage to Bernard J. Kennedy in Owatonna, MN. Regina (Reg), originally from Owatonna, MN, moved to Faribault, MN in 1968. Regina was married to Bernie for 45 years until his passing in 1998. She continued to live on her own in their home in Faribault. She moved to the Twin Cities area two years ago to be closer to her son, Mike, and his family.

Regina started out her career working for the REA (now Steele Waseca Coop Electric) in Owatonna. From there she worked at Minneapolis Moline in Hopkins, the College of St. Catherine's in St. Paul and ultimately retired at age 75 from the MN School for the Deaf, having worked there for 26 years. Regina enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her family.

Regina is survived by her son, Mike, his wife Pam, and their three children, Patrick, Kelly and Bryan.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
