Robert F. "Bob" Fischer

Robert F. “Bob” Fischer, age 86, of Faribault, MN, passed away March 12, 2026, at the Allina Health Faribault Medical Center.

Bob was born on November 13, 1939, at St. Lucas Hospital in Faribault to Frank and Nora (Stolt) Fischer. He was raised on a small farm until he was 10 years old, then moved to Faribault. He attended St. Lawrence School prior to attending Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf (MSAD). He graduated from MSAD and then obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gallaudet University. Bob had surgery for his hearing impairment at the age of 25. He then went to the Minneapolis area and worked at various places.

Bob enjoyed listening to music, reading, and hiking at River Bend Nature Center.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nora. He is survived by cousins.

Memorials may be directed to River Bend Nature Center in memory of Bob.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.
