Rose Kulisek

October 22, 1915 — December 18, 2008

Rose B. Kulisek, age 93, of Faribault, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault.             Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church at Sacred Heart in Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.             Visitation will be held on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.             Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.             Rose Barbara Giever, the daughter Henry and Lena (Becker) Giever, was born on October 22, 1915 in Woodstock, MN. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1933 and attended Faribault Normal School for teaching. Rose taught for several years in the Rice County Schools. She was married to Frank Kulisek on June 3, 1941 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where Rose continued teaching. She later worked as a waitress at the Hodiak Restaurant, where her husband also worked. Frank preceded her in death in 1995. Rose later moved to Faribault to be near her family.             She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Merrill of Faribault; her nieces and nephews, Tom (Danny) Merrill of Faribault, Dick (Kathi) Merrill of Indianapolis, IN, Jeanne (Bill) Burnison of Tucson, AZ, Eileen (George) Voracek of Faribault, and Karen (Kevin) Molloy of Faribault; and other relatives and friends.             She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two sisters, Beatrice Giever and Irene Simonson.
