Shawn P. Davidson

Shawn P. Davidson, age 74 of Owatonna, MN passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Owatonna Hospital.

Shawn Patirck, the son of George and Bette (Hovda) Davidson, was born on September 11, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN. Shawn grew up in Minneapolis and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged following an injury. He moved back to the Twin Cities area. Later in life he moved to Nisswa, MN and spent some time there before moving to Owatonna. He loved woodworking. He made signs and cutting boards for his friends and family. He also loved to fish.

Shawn is survived by his children, Kathleen Davidson (Chuck Kuether), Sean Davidson (Amanda McKinney), and Sharleen Spencer; grandchildren, Nicole Davidson (Cavan Sutton), Danielle (Kyle) Donkers, Kyle (Stephanie) Davidson, Gabby Davidson, Arron Davidson, Grant Spencer, Dustin Davidson, Andrew Spencer, Alyssa Kaderlik, Haven Davidson, Ashton Spencer, and Clayton Spencer; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Bridget Davidson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; life partner, Frances Nelson; brothers, Kevin Davidson and Mike Blank.

Interment with military honors will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 11:30 A.M. Family and friends can meet at Assembly Area 4 at 11:15 A.M.
