Stephen C. Bennett

Stephen C. Bennett, age 61 of Faribault, MN passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

Born July 18th 1963 to Marlene and Neill Bennett in Faribault, Minnesota. Growing up he helped out on the family farm with his siblings. Later he moved with his father to the family farm in Medford, MN. When he was an adult, he worked at Werner Farm and Seed delivering seed until 2004. Stephen enjoyed traveling, always taking the scenic routes to enjoy the views. He loved being an uncle. Always spending time with his niece and nephews. He taught his nephews how to work on cars, from how to change a tire to changing oil. When Stephen wasn't farming, he enjoyed building computers, something he learned about from his younger brother Ben. Stephen was jokester and always had a story to tell. 

He is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth Steinkamp, Neill Bennett, and Ben Evans (Amber), Timothy Evans (Diane), Peggy Gann (Hunter), Joseph Evans (Carla), Amy Nevis, and Katy Mossberg; his nephews, Derek Bennett (Aliza) and David Steinkamp (Cole); his niece, Samantha Steinkamp (Adam); his great nephews, Josh, Isaiah, Zane, and Brooks and by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Neill Bennett, his mother Marlene Evans and his stepfather, Edward “Patrick” Evans, and his brother Kirk Bennett.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
